Each year I support the great programs at UIndy, so it makes sense to not pay taxes on money I am going to give to the University anyway. It only takes a few minutes to contact my broker and direct money from my IRA to the University of Indianapolis. I don't pay taxes on anything sent from my IRA to UIndy, be it for my annual contribution or other needs or projects that I want to support.
